At the start of the 2019 Summer started off with Penn Fusion Lehigh Valley club manager, Dave Weitzman, introducing several new coaches to the Penn Fusion Lehigh Valley family. Jeff Ykoruk (Head Coach at Moravian College), Kelly Wakeman (Head Coach at Muhlenberg College), Alyssa Zurlo (Assistant Coach at Moravian College), Tony Pangaio (former Head Coach at Allentwon Central Catholic and Whitehall HS) and Ashley Koren (Assistant Coach at Whitehall HS). Adding the "Fabulous Five" coaches to our already quality staff lineup is instrumental in helping to further the movement of developing players in our club. Jeff, Kelly, and Tony have a wealth of knowledge for the game and will be tremendous resources for our families. Alyssa and Ashley are both young up and coming coaches that have had the opportunity to play college soccer and will be terrific role models for our young athletes. We are very appreciatitive and grateful that these coaches have chosen Penn Fusion and we hope to keep them around on our staff for years to come.

Only a few weeks later, in June, the 2006 (U14G) EPYSA State Cup Champions competed in the Preseident's Cup Regional Tournament in West Virginia. Winning all three group games and then coming up just a little short in the semifinals.

Penn Fusion Lehigh Valley also hosted a Women's World Cup viewing party at the Copperhead Grille on Route 378 for players, parents, and siblings. With over 50 PFLV players in attendance and more than 75 in our party there was no doubt that the US would lift their 4th FIFA WWC trophy.

In late July the 2002 went down to Southern New Jersey for an EDP Tournament and played PA Dominion, Monmouth SC, & RUSA FC going 1-1-1 on the weekend. Coach Ykoruk then turned the team around in early August at the Penn Fusion Summer Showcase and the team went 2-0-1, beating PFSA Predators & FC Brandywine then tying the South River Strikers.

The teams were training hard all summer long in preparations for the both the PFSA Summer Classic and Spirit United Kickoff Classic taking place the weekends of August 10 and 11th and 24th and 25th. In the PFSA Tournament our 2008 (U12's) and 2007 (U13's) were finalist and our 2006 (U14's) were crowned champions.  The 2010 (U10's) went 1-1 on the weekend and the 2009 (U11's) were 1-2.

The summer also offered our players the opportunities to train on four different Saturday mornings, attend summer camp, and our team mini-camp.
